Bundoran Community Museum building tour
The Magh Ene Historical Society, Bundoran, together with Bundoran Community Development CLG are opening the Bundoran Community Centre building on Saturday 16th August for one day for viewing to celebrate Heritage Week.
The building was built in 1875 or 1939 and was a bank until 2016 when it was purchased by the Local Community Development Company with a legacy left by Bundoran Urban District Council. The building has been extensively renovated with the help of Heritage grants, the Community recognition fund and the Community Centre Investment Funds and is fully accessible.
It is a fine example of how a historical building can be adapted to a modern community centre while maintaining the original architectural features on the Main Street of a vibrant seaside town.
