Visit the exhibition about Brian Friel (1929-2015), who is widely regarded as one of Ireland’s greatest playwrights and a hugely accomplished short story writer. His plays, including Dancing at Lughnasa, Philadelphia, Here I Come!, Translations, and Faith Healer, continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
This EXHIBITION features information about the current Heritage Council funded project THE BRIAN FRIEL DIGITAL HERITAGE TRAIL. There are plenty of exhibition boards featuring copies of the playwright’s personal letters, photographs, manuscripts, and more. Enjoy this opportunity to take a unique visual journey through Brian Friel’s life and work. The early stories in the New Yorker, the emerging playwright, his profound connection to Donegal, landscape and people are all part of this enthralling, engaging, and informative exhibition.
