Blessington & Districts- Through The Ages- Photographic Exhibition

Blessington History Society's Heritage Week Project is focussing on a collection of old photographs which depict people, places and topics which are central to capturing, in photographic form, some the past activities of the people of Blessington and Districts. In organising this project we are providing people of Blessington, both old and new residents, with the opportunity to gain an insight in the life of Blessington & Districts in former times. In this regards, our intentions in putting the Heritage Week project together are to preserve aspects of the heritage of Blessington & Districts. Like all old photographs they will evoke memories and conversations of times and people which have passed. In evoking these memories Blessington History Society, through this project, will have contributed to safeguarding some of the Heritage of Blessington & Districts and in doing this we will have a sense of pride of place for the residents of Blessington & Districts.
