Belfast Blitz Walking Tour of North Belfast
Join us on Saturday 15th August for a guided walking tour telling the story of how the Belfast Blitz affected north Belfast.
The tour features stories of those who were killed in the Belfast Blitz and survivors’ accounts from NIWM’s oral history collection with period photographs showing how this part of the city was impacted by the enemy air raids in 1941.
The walking tour will start from the Waterworks Park at 11:00am, meeting at the entrance to the park at the bottom of Brookvale Avenue where it meets the Antrim Road. It will last approximately 1 hour 30 minutes and will finish in the city centre at Cathedral Gardens at the junction of Donegall Street and York Street.
