Bat Walk in Ballinamore

Join us to explore the local bat population in Ballinamore. Led by Caroline Shiel who is a bat ecologist working on the Return to Nature project in Co. Leitrim. Caroline will talk about bats, their roosts, habitats, artificial lighting and the importance of protecting bats.

Bat detectors will be available to use enhance your batty encounters. The event will take place after sunset so please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a torch. Suitable for all ages and families. Please note that we will be walking along a canal so children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent/guardian at all times.

Meeting point is at the Waterways Ireland car park along the Golf course road.
