Bat Walk in Bray

Join Bray Tidy Towns and ecologist Faith Wilson to discover the wonder of these amazing nocturnal creatures. Learn how to use a bat detector, observe bats and listen to their echolocation calls whilst taking a short walk on Bray Head. Attendees of previous bat walks along the Dargle River and San Souci Wood will have experienced the wonder of these flying mammals. Faith prepared the Bray Biodiversity Plan and is a wealth of knowledge, so this event is not to be missed. Bring your curiosity (and a bat detector if you have one).

We will meet at Raheen Car Park just before sunset. All are welcome, but children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is an evening event, so bring suitable clothing and footwear. The event is weather dependent. If heavy rain is forecasted, the event will be cancelled, so please register using the link and we will keep you informed.
