Join WCCC Biodiversity and Science team for an evening stroll to discover the species that inhabit the banks and waters of the Colligan River. We will delve into water sampling to take a closer look at freshwater invertebrates and as dusk arrives, switch on the bat detectors to identify the bats that call this woodland home. At least 6 species of Irish bats have been recorded in this area!
All ages are welcome - it's the perfect chance to explore the importance of healthy habitats and how you too can help to record these species in your area.
Please dress for the weather as this is an outdoor event. Register your interest here: http://tiny.cc/colliganbatwalk
This event is outdoors on uneven surfaces within a woodland setting. Limited carparking available on site - carpooling is encouraged.
