Ballitore is a village with a rich architectural, cultural and landscape heritage, and this interactive workshop is an opportunity for the local community to help shape its future.
Kildare County Council, through the Historic Towns Initiative and with funding from The Heritage Council, has appointed Cooney Architects to work with the local community in exploring opportunities for the future conservation and regeneration of the village. This interactive workshop offers an opportunity for residents, businesses and community groups to help shape that future.
Through a scaled physical model of the village and a series of mapping boards, participants will be invited to share their knowledge, ideas and aspirations for Ballitore.
Drop in throughout the session to explore the model, identify places of importance, discuss opportunities and challenges, and contribute ideas for the conservation-led development of the village. Whether it is historic buildings, public spaces, movement, biodiversity, local stories or hidden heritage, every contribution will help build a better understanding of what makes Ballitore special and how it can continue to thrive.
The workshop is designed to encourage conversation and capture local knowledge that can inform future regeneration and conservation initiatives. No specialist knowledge is required, just an interest in Ballitore and its future.
Whether you stay for five minutes or an hour, we'd love you to join the discussion and help shape a shared vision for the village.
