Askeaton Ballysteen Natural Heritage present an insightful walk along our River Deel. A place of deep history, fishing, culture and remarkable nature.
Askeaton Ballysteen Natural Heritage are an active community group in West Limerick creating action and awareness for natural heritage. In recent years The Deel has been feeling the pressures of modern society and ABNH were formed in response to pollution having a direct impact on this beautiful river and environs. ABNH continues to strive to raise awareness and for action so that the future of our river will be clean.
Join Liam in an alternative tour of the river bank. The walk will start at West Square Parklet at 6.30pm on Friday August 22nd and will last for roughly one hour. We will be stopping in places to view the wildlife, discover local history and hear about older traditions relating to the river and the town.
Accessibility – Ground is uneven and not accessible to wheelchair users. If you need assistance please let us know in advance.
