Art Tour of Newbridge House

Join curator Cathal Dowd Smith to celebrate the launch of The Catalogue of Pictures of Newbridge House (2026) for this behind-the-scenes look at the gem of Newbridge House’s crown, its art collection.

One of the few country-house art collections still retained in its original setting, this tour will delve into the stories, symbols and meaning behind the artworks. Covering the rich collection of family portraiture into the old master collection housed in Newbridge’s famed Drawing Room.

The tour will also look at some of the conservation challenges of caring for this significant collection in a historic environment.

Booking isn't required. Places on the tour will be offered on a first come first served basis on the day. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.
