Action on Invasives Species along the River Lee

Hear about the findings of the survey of invasive plants on the upper River Lee catchment commissioned by Tralee Tidy Towns and funded by the River Basin Management Service in this free event for Water Heritage Day. Learn about the different types of invasive species, what is being done to remove them and what land owners can do to help eradicate them.

We're inviting interested community groups, members of the public and land owners along the River Lee to join us in finding collaborative and expert-led solutions to managing invasive species along our river to protect the biodiversity of the River Lee; a priority area for action.

All those interested are advised to arrive by 9.45am for the presentation by a Malachy Walsh and Partners ecologist which will take place at 10am sharp on Sunday 23rd August, at Tralee Bay Wetlands, it will be followed by a walk and talk on Invasive species along the River Lee Walk (weather permitting) and will conclude with light refreshments at the Lakeside Café.
