How Christianity Conquered Ireland, and Ireland Changed Christianity.

Join archaeologist Jack Connolly as he explores the beginnings of Irish Christianity, the tensions between the Irish faithful and those on the continent, and how Christianity was forever changed by contact with the Irish.

He will discuss the monastic foundation of Irish Christianity, the potential reasons for this difference in development from continental Christianity, and why the modern world may have been a very different place without this divide. This lecture will last approximately one hour, and all ages are welcome to attend.
