UCC Library - A Lost Art? Handwriting in a Digital Age

Discover the history of handwriting through a unique selection of letters, diaries, manuscripts, and other archival materials from UCC Library's Special Collections and Archives. Spanning the 17th to 20th centuries, the exhibition will showcase the writings of authors, academics, scribes, and ordinary individuals, highlighting how handwriting has evolved in response to changing technologies, education, and social practices.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in interactive handwriting exercises led by Special Collections and Archives staff, offering a hands-on connection to the past.
