A Guided Heritage Walk of Rosses Point

Sligo Bay Lifeboat is based in Rosses Point.
As part of Heritage Week our Lifeboat Team are organising a guided walk of Rosses Point, Sligo's Maritime Village.
Join us on Sunday 17th August, at 1500hrs, where one of our Crew, John Ryan, will take us on an entertaining heritage walk through time.
Starting at the Church of Ireland, John will lead us through the village and down to Deadman's Point. We will return, via the scenic walk, to finish at the Lifeboat Station. The walk will take approximately two hours.
We'll hear tales of Sailors, Battles, Shipwreck and lots more. John has previously given tours in Sligo Town and Rosses Point. His walks are always, both very enjoyable, and informative.
The walk will be on the public road, and scenic path. Participants will be responsible for their own safety.
