Join us online (or on 88.3 FM and 92.7 FM) for a special Heritage Week programme celebrating the 80-year history of the Scariff Show through the voices of the people who helped shape it. Produced in partnership with Scariff Bay Community Radio, this unique broadcast brings together former members of the Scariff Show Committee for a collective conversation reflecting on eight decades of one of Ireland's most enduring agricultural and community events.
Through personal memories, stories and shared experiences, the discussion explores the evolution of the Show, the dedication of its volunteers, and its lasting importance to rural life, farming, local enterprise and community identity in East Clare.
Listeners will also have the opportunity to contribute their own memories and questions, helping to create a shared celebration of the Show's remarkable legacy. The programme forms part of the wider Scariff Show Oral Heritage Project, ensuring that the voices, memories and traditions behind the Show are preserved for future generations while inspiring new volunteers to become involved in recording and safeguarding their own local heritage.
