A tour of Kilmainham Gaol focusing on female writers who were held in the prison or who were inspired by its prisoners. Featured writers include Dorothy Macardle and Eva Gore Booth.

The words of the writers are used to explore the role of women in Irish society from the early 19th century, their fight to win the vote in 1918, and their involvement in the Irish Revolution.
