19 - 20 August, 10am - 4pm

  • Irish Patchwork Society Western Branch
  • Galway Civic Trust, Hall of the Red Earl, Druid Lane
  • Co. Galway – City

Come and see members of the Irish Patchwork Society Western Branch as they create pieces of patchwork. Join them in trying out this heritage craft and make your own piece of patchwork to bring home.

The IPS Western Branch event, “Patches Past and Present”, in the Hall of the Red Earl, Galway Civic Trust, gives members a chance to engage with the public and share their passion for all things textile and quilted. Beautiful samples of all kinds of quilted objects will be on display: quilts, wall hangings, bags, notebook covers, mobile cases, coasters. Many different techniques are employed. Visitors will learn a simple patch and make it into a quilted coaster to take home.
