Discover the Women on Walls portrait collection at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences online via RCSI’s social media channels throughout National Heritage Week. From 17 – 21 August, RCSI will create a virtual exhibition showcasing highlights from the collection, providing a platform to celebrate their contributions and raise the visibility of the role of women in healthcare. Read more about the collection on women.rcsi.com. On 5 March 2019, these portraits were unveiled, recognising the pioneering achievements of eight extraordinary women and enhancing the visibility of historical female leaders in healthcare. The portraits are now hanging in the Board Room of RCSI on St Stephen’s Green in Dublin’s city centre. This project, in partnership with Accenture, is a campaign that seeks to make women leaders visible through a series of commissioned portraits that will create a lasting cultural legacy for Ireland.
