Irish Wildlife, Garden Birds and Trees Outdoor Displays

St Joseph's National School Woodford, Co. Galway
St Joseph's National School, Woodford, Co. Galway

This project will focus on our natural heritage, specifically in relation to Irish wildlife, trees and garden birds, and educating members of the Woodford school community about these aspects of our heritage via the installation of new outdoor displays on the external walls around the St Joseph's National School premises. We are hoping that this project will educate the children, staff and members of the wider school community about Irish wildlife, native and non-native trees, and garden birds, by installing attractive, educational displays with visuals and facts about each species around the school. This project involves the pupils and staff of St Joseph’s National School who chose the displays, the company who created the displays, as well as a number of people in the local community involved in installing the outdoor displays. The displays will be erected and shared on the front façade of the school, where they will be visible and accessible to the pupils, staff and members of the wider local community. This project was funded by the Heritage Office, Galway County Council.
