Gardening for Biodiversity

Catherine Casey
Laois County Council

"Gardening for Biodiversity" is a new booklet published by Laois County Council, with practical tips and ideas for anyone interested in looking after the biodiversity on their own doorstep. The book was written by Juanita Browne with illustrations by Barry Reynolds. A series of short films have been created to go with the booklet, showing how important gardens are for wildlife and biodiversity. It includes practical tips on how to build a garden pond, create a log-pile, create a meadow, plant trees, and gardening for birds.
