Marsh's Library has two volumes of water-coloured paintings on vellum illustrating Albin's Natural History of Birds. These volumes were bequeathed to Marsh's in 1803. The images within are highly detailed, hand painted works of art. As inspiration Marsh's Library want to encourage further exploration of the birds in its locality, especially as they have claimed their habitats and sky back over recent months and as we have all observed them with our slower pace and awareness of the nature around us! Marsh's Library will create a pack of activities for recording birds, fact finding, using the images for art, photography etc.
