Discover the skills of working horses on the land

John Forde

Project organiser John Forde will hold an information day on the skills involved with working horses on the land. Working horses are part of our heritage and while big machinery has taken the place of the horse on the land and on the road, these skills shaped agriculture and transport for centuries. While they don't share the same importance in modern times it is important to rediscover and preserve the skill of horsemanship. Public health restrictions allowing, John will hold an outdoor information day showcasing horses and farm machinery and presenting some of the skills involved in working with horses.
