On Wednesday 22 August, encourage your kids to drop the devices, jump off the couch and get outdoors and connect with nature for Wild Child Day!

Here’s just a few free Wild Child Day events to get you started:

Go Wild on Wild Child Day 

22 August, 10:00am – 4:00pm, Monaghan Co Council, Rossmore Park, Co. Monaghan

A chance for your little ones to experience the great outdoors & nature. Activities include pond dipping, electro fishing, nature walks etc. Feel free to bring a picnic

 

Wild Child Activity Day

22 August, 1:00pm – 4:00pm, Glenveagh National Park, Co. Donegal

Fun hands on learning and adventure in the wild with the Education Guides.

 

Wild Child Day

Wild Child Bug Hunt

Meet up with Nature’s Little Creatures with the help of a Nature Expert. Bug Pots and Nets provided for groups of up to 12 children on a first come first served basis every 30 mins starting @ 12.00pm

Wild About Nature

Wild about Nature' is an environmentally themed, fun, nature based camp for children aged 7 to 12 years. The activities include scavenger hunt, mini orienteering, introduction to Irish bats, camp craft and environmental art.


Nuts about Nature Workshop

22 August, 3pm - 4:30pm, Rediscovery Centre, Swords Library, Co. Dublin

Explore our natural heritage, the importance of biodiversity and what we can do to protect our wildlife through fun activities and games. Suitable for children 6 to 12years. Also taking place in other libraries in Fingal during the week too.

 

Massy’s Woods Treasure Hunt
