Retrace the steps of a Spanish Captain with Maritime Archaeologist, Auriel Robinson. Captain De Cuellar's ship was wrecked at Streedagh after the storm in 1588. This is a wonderful coastal walk.

Your archaeologist guide will tell you all about the history of the Spanish Armada ships that wrecked here over 400 years ago on this trail and you will also visit an ancient wedge tomb, explore fossils on the shore and get to enjoy and soak up some of Sligo's most beautiful scenery. The walk suits those who have a curious mind and who like to explore and is on uneven ground, sometimes rocky, sometimes sandy. Trail duration: c 1.5 hours. Wear hiking boots and bring a jacket for wind/rain.
