Illustrated talk presenting results of community 3D imaging project undertaken on medieval tombs of Cruicetown and St John’s cemeteries in Nobber. A public demonstration of techniques used.
In summer 2017 the Cruicetown and St John’s (Nobber) cemetery groups were trained in the latest 3D imaging technique known as photogrammetry by heritage professional Gary Dempsey. A sample of medieval tombs at risk from weathering were selected for this process. The 3D images of the tombs obtained in this community project are presented here in an illustrated lecture with an explanation of the photographic techniques used. The talk will be preceded by a public demonstration of these techniques.
