The 'Presence of Life' depends on functioning Nature. Ted and Pete will propose that it is our purpose to understand the Earth and pay attention to life. Visually impaired welcome.
Join us again at Broadford and witness nature's capacity for self-repair and pathway to recovery. 2017 marks the 18th year of Broadford's 'Restoration Ecology Project'. In 1998 this medieval disused Limestone Quarry of circa 1.3 acres had degraded over time to habitual dumping. The foul order along with tolerant lichens, giant hogweed and Japanese knotweed all added to a bleak space with the exception of remediating Salik. The community then volunteered to dispose of the waste and plant trees.
