Child Protection

Launch of Museum Awards 2009

Where you are organising an event for children it is a requirement to have a child protection policy in place.

Here is the link for the Heritage Council’s policy document which we would ask you to read.  This may be of use to you in developing your own Child Protection Policy.  This is a Heritage Council document and not to be used directly by event organisers.

The Heritage Council Child Protection Guidelines

Guidelines For Taking & Using Images Of Children In The Arts Sector

These guidelines have been compiled by the Arts Council in collaboration with the arts sector and the Health Service Executive (Information and Advice Persons). The guidelines are intended to provide support and guidance to arts organisations and artists working as arts practitioners, facilitators or tutors making, recording and using images of children and young people.
